Sauteed Shrimp – These pan sauteed shrimp made in less than 10 minutes enjoyed as the quick appetizer coated with spice mix and olive oil.
Sautéed Shrimp – Ingredients: Simple Yet Flavorful
Shrimp: I like medium to large shrimp, peeled and deveined. Frozen is fine – just thaw them first.
Butter: Unsalted is best so you can control the salt level.
Garlic: Freshly minced delivers the best flavor.
Spices: A pinch of salt, black pepper, and a touch of red pepper flakes for a little kick (optional).
Lemon juice: A squeeze of fresh lemon at the end brightens everything up.
Parsley: Totally optional but adds a lovely pop of color.
Easy Sautéed Shrimp – Tips and Tricks
Don’t overcrowd the pan: If your skillet’s on the small side, cook the shrimp in batches to ensure even browning.
Use a hot pan: This helps the shrimp sear and prevents them from becoming watery.
Adjust seasoning to taste: Give your shrimp a taste before serving and add more salt, pepper, or lemon juice if needed.
Recipe Variations – Get Creative!
- Cajun-style: Swap regular spices for a Cajun seasoning blend.
- Shrimp scampi: Add a splash of white wine to the pan with the lemon juice.
- Italian: Toss in some cherry tomatoes and fresh basil at the end.
How to Serve Your Sauteed Shrimp?
Pasta: Toss with your favorite pasta shape and a drizzle of olive oil.
Over rice or quinoa: A quick and healthy meal base.
In a salad: Perfect for a light and flavorful lunch.
On its own: Serve as an appetizer with crusty bread for dipping.
How to store the leftovers?
Leftover sauteed shrimp will keep in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently on the stovetop or in the microwave.
