Thaw frozen shrimp completely before peeling and deveining for easier handling.
Hold the shrimp firmly by its tail with your non-dominant hand.

Locate the "vein" which runs along the shrimp's back - that's your entry point
Using your thumb and forefinger, gently pinch the shell near the head.

If the shell resists, carefully insert the tip of a small paring knife between the shell and flesh
With a gentle but firm grip, peel the shell down the body of the shrimp.

Decide if you want to leave the tail for presentation or remove it completely.
Once peeled, you'll see a thin, dark vein running along the shrimp's back.

Using a small paring knife or your fingernail, carefully remove the vein from the shrimp
Rinse your peeled and deveined shrimp under cold running water to remove any debris.
