Ingredients
- 1 1/4 lbs shrimp, peeled and deveined (large size)
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 2 Tbsp green onions, thinly sliced
- 3 Tbsp water
- 3 Tbsp mirin
- 1 tsp sriracha
- 2 1/2 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp rice vinegar
- 1/2 tsp sesame oil
- 3 Tbsp honey
- 1 1/2 tsp ginger, peeled, minced
- 2 tsp cornstarch
- 1 1/2 tsp garlic, minced
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, add in mirin, water, honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, sriracha, cornstarch, garlic and ginger. Whisk until well combined.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add olive oil. Once hot, add shrimp and cook for 1-2 minutes.
- Flip the shrimp and cook for another 30 seconds. Do not overcrowd the pan.
- Give the sauce a nice stir and pour it over the shrimps. Stir well and cook for 1-2 minutes or until shrimp through and the sauce is thickened as desired.
- Garnish with toasted sesame seeds and sliced green onions.
- Enjoy immediately with steamed rice or broccoli or roasted asparagus.
