Ingredients

For Peel and Eat Shrimp

  • 1 lb 21-25 count (per pound) shrimp shell on
  • 12 ounces beer your favorite brand
  • 2 tbsp. old bay seasoning for cooking
  • 1 tbsp. pickling spice for cooking
  • 1 lemon cut in half, juiced
  • A tbsp. old bay seasoning, for seasoning
  • lemon slices garnish

For the Cocktail Sauce

  • ½ cup Heinz chili sauce
  • 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • 2 tsp. lemon juice
  • 3-4 teaspoon prepared horseradish

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan fill halfway with water, add the Old Bay, beer, pickling spice and the freshly squeezed lemon into the water.
  2. Bring water to a boil, then add the shrimp. Cook for about 2-4 minutes or until perfectly done. Drain and discard the lemon.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, horseradish, and chili sauce.
  4. Adjust the amount of horseradish to spice up.
  5. Serve the hot or cool peel and eat shrimp immediately and serve with lemon slices and cocktail sauce.
