Shrimp Fajitas – Tips
Get a Good Sear: High heat is key for that delicious caramelization on the veggies and shrimp.
Don’t Crowd the Pan: Cook the shrimp in batches if necessary, so they have enough space to sear properly.
Warm Those Tortillas: A quick zap in the microwave or a few seconds on a dry skillet makes all the difference.
Fresh is Best: Use fresh lime juice for the brightest flavor.
Shrimp Fajitas Variations: Shake Things Up!
- Add a pinch of cayenne pepper or a diced jalapeño to the marinade.
- Swap the lime juice for orange or grapefruit juice for a fun variation.
- Add other veggies like zucchini, mushrooms, or corn.
- For a heartier meal, add some thinly sliced steak to the mix.

Recipe FAQs
Can I use frozen shrimp?
Absolutely! Just make sure they’re fully thawed and patted dry before marinating.
What if I don’t have fajita seasoning?
No worries! Whip up your own with chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and a pinch of cayenne.
How do I know when the shrimp is done?
It should be pink and opaque, not translucent. Overcooking them will make them rubbery, so keep a close eye on them.
Can I make these on the grill?
You bet! Thread the shrimp and veggies onto skewers and grill them to perfection.
