Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined, tails removed
  • 1 pound fettuccine pasta
  • kosher salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 3 Tbsp. butter, divided
  • 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup Parmesan, freshly grated, more for garnish
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 Tbsp. parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Bring a pot of water to boil and cook the fettuccine as per the package instruction until tender. Reserve a cup of pasta water. Drain.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add 1 tablespoon butter. Once melted, add shrimp, salt and pepper.
