Copycat Texas Roadhouse Shrimp – Tips

Soak Your Skewers: If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes before grilling. This prevents them from burning.

Preheat to High Heat: For perfectly seared shrimp, preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.

Don’t Overcook: Shrimp cook quickly! Once they turn opaque and pink, with slightly firm flesh, they’re done. Overcooked shrimp become rubbery.

Texas Roadhouse Grilled Shrimp – FAQs

Can I use frozen shrimp?

Absolutely! Thaw frozen shrimp completely and pat them dry before marinating. They may cook slightly faster, so keep an eye on them.

How long should I marinate the shrimp?

Thirty minutes is the minimum for good flavor, but an hour won’t hurt. Just don’t marinate for more than an hour, as the lemon juice can start to “cook” the shrimp, making them tough.

Can i store the leftovers?

Yes absolutely! Pack them in an airtight container and store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a pan with oil brushed into the pan for about 2-3 minutes.
